I hope their financial analysis is better than their automotive analysis. Anything remotely non-conformist gets the ax. For the right price, I'd drive over half of these cars. Granted there are no beauty queens here (except maybe that Austin Martin), but I think many of these are very cool looking.
At least they got the Aztek on there, and that Fiat is definitely one of the weirdest things on four wheels I've seen recently.

I do not agree with most of them being on that list. Subura brat still looks great today, Chris bangle's 7 series was an Ugly BMW, but not one of the 50 ugliest cars. The delorean was cool, especially with the flux capacitor installed.
I thought for sure the Fuego would be there though.:)

Ferrari Enzo? Delorean? Ok, the Enzo is not my favorite, but not 50 ugliest....

How about 50 generic toyotaized modern bubble cars? I'd have pages of Civics, Corollas, and Hyundai clones...all grey or silver.

Don't forget to add a few spots for cartoonish, blinged out Detroit offerings on 22" wheels, and flavour-of-the-month crossovers that mash wagons and SUVs together into an overweight, space-inefficient package because of a North American bias against wagons. Yeah, those designs will stand the test of time...

Generally speaking, considering the quality of workmanship, they won't have to worry about that!

The banality of modern car design is the result of stringent safety requirements, wind tunnel data and the conglomerization of car companies into huge, multi-brand behemoths. Add the shameless copy-catting of builders and voila! You get a gazillion cars that all look the same.

Jap cars aren't ugly there are numb and boring. A new Acura looks good in its first model year then blends into the background. Either way, I don't agree with a lot of the cars on the list.

These two cars get my votes:
AMC Pacer

I did think the Pacer and Gremlin were horrible, ugly cars growing up. But they are so bad they make it back around to kind of cool for me now.
These weren't on the list but they sure get my vote.

Pacers were even considered a bit ugly back then, but you could carry a 6 ft. submarine sandwich in them. They are however somewhat cool now because of thier drastic difference.
Gremlins, stock and plain, were ugly too, but look at the pacer pic and you can see a Gremlin sport model behind it. Those were good looking cars. I would love one of those.
What I like about both of those cars is that you could get them with v8 motors that made them fun to drive, the famous Javelin motor/drive train package was available.
A Gremlin is current world wheely champion car for the last 4 or 5 yrs.
I think you are right on those Suburus too Bruce. Where did that desisign come from? Is Chris Bangle at Suburu now?

Delorean ,Enzo, and my uber favorite retro car the "El Camino". I'd love to have an El Camino slammed, with flames, big bling wheels and a front suspension I could bounce at lights with. AAAHH to cruise and scare all grey heads with this car all the while blaring the song "low rider".... .........I think I've lived in East Van. too long.
