Not one, but 25 (!!!) (plus two non-qualifying cars as parts runners) OBRC Japanese cars. Be the envy of the world, or at least of me.

This guy has a problem. Have to admire the optimism of a guy who thinks he can find another guy with his compulsion locally who also happens to own a small parking garage.

The guy is an idiot.

The reason people buy in bulk, and put up with the hassle and effort (and there is BIG hassle and effort here to pay, move, and store this collection) is to get a significant savings, but I don't see that here at $2k each (some maybe worth more, but others less).

The reality is, there are alot of perfectly good car guys out there that could actually do something with some of these cars - restore the nice ones, mod/race the ok ones, part out the weak ones. Instead nothin' will happen until someone buys the lot to sell (at a price that makes the effort and profit potential worthwhile) or the guy gets serious...if he even is...

I had to call this guy - definitely has an obsessive/deluded air about him. Doesn't sound like he is serious about getting rid of the cars and I get the feeling like most of the cars have issues, i.e. he drove them until they needed fixing then parked them.

Still, I'm likely going to head out to Guildford on Sunday, even though I was very clear that I only wanted to look as a Datsun fan. Maybe I can sell him my 210 since he doesn't have one of those yet. Anyone want to provide backup in case he turns out to be a complete crazy person?
